Happy New Year
May the our eternal God who is infinant, the Alpha and the Omega, He who was and is and is to come, our God who never changes yet continues to abide in us everyday of our lives, may he bring you peace, joy, comfort, and good tidings for the next 365 days of this grand scheme of our lives that He pens down in His unending story.

Hey There…sorry to post this here, but i could not find an email for you...just surfed onto your site from a link of emerging church info, and seems like you have a lot of “emergent” info….got anything on emerging color? I am a Chicano/Mexican, and find it hard to find any others like me that are emerging in this sense, and much of the stuff out there is not for people on the margins of society, like me. Any suggestions?
Please check out our site linked below…I’ve got some stuff on there, but we’re really wondering if “emerging” is only for those outside of the margins….we tend to think not…..

Hey Sam,
Thanks for stoppin by. There are many answers to your questions about emerging churches. First off, to say we are "emerging" I think is a word that is overused and misunderstood alot. We offer at our church what we consider to be very close to the way Jesus modeled his ministry to his disciples. We meet regularly , whether at homes, TGIfridays, the local waffle house, or at the sanctuary to help build and edify those already in the faith, and to encourage those who are not to search the scriptures for the truths that will help them in the lives that they live. We are a young church (2 years old) that chooses to worship in a way that encourages the congregation as a whole to interact during our gathering times on Sundays. As to your question on emerging color, I havent found any resources, but I have seen local churches that have made a brige in being able to include our latin population into thier mostly caucasian services. As far as others in the same ethnicity emerging, that would be a hard thing to do as we are in the bible belt and most of our churches around here are modern/contemperary services in Prodestant churches, and then most of our latin brothers attend catholic mass. By the way, the work your doing with the teens in Colorado is truely awesome. It encourages me that I can do the same in some capacity in our community.
